Destruction death and righteousness restored!
The might from an uncontrolled repression,
A state of power through the peace accord,

Re: Your recent purchases:

*spring update*

Found a cheaper alternative that seems to do the same thing. A second hand one is currently £70 which seems more reasonable to me.

Plus as already stated I suck at soldering so unless anyone here wants to make me one I might go for it

Re: Blending Sludge and Noise

Drore are a band from Oxford who use Noise elements in amongst their sludgy hardcore tendencies. Great fun live, may help with inspiration

Re: Your recent purchases:

Yeah, that seems kinda bullshit to me. I'd build it, if I wanted it, pay no more than 20 quid for it. A reverb would have the springs free to oscillate and connected to a transducer of some kind at both ends. Nic Collins did a nice article on easy DIY ones. http://www.nicolascollins.com/texts/TapeO...

Given that the springs look bolted to the box, that's not gonna do much. :eew:
The whole unit is resonant, you can also use it as an external mic. Scream at your springs!

You can unbolt and switch them for other things As I plan to do.

Re: Your recent purchases:

My TC electronics Dark Matter distortion pedal died randomly and I suck with electronics and couldn't figure out how to fix it. Might tinker with it some day or part exchange it a a local music store and they can sort it out. So as a cheap replacement I picked up a Valeton Darktale for about £30 and...

Re: Will you? I won't

Yep I liked it, nicely cut-up which lots of variety in strange electronic noises. The high pitched stuff still hurts my ears though - think I need to go back to the doctors and get them syringed again  :hic:

Re: More Science

I was reading my son a Rupert The Bear story last night, where he goes back in time to try and found out where his pet Pterodactyl originates from. He ends up on Noah's Ark, so the talking (and clothed) bear ends up interrogating Noah and his son about dinosaurs. I hope the artist and author had rea...

Day 4 of hideous ear infection, means I've not listened to much music this weekend aside from the constant tinnitus level ringing in my ears.
