Re: Historical recollection of noise listening

Listening to John Peel late night radio 1 when I should have been asleep because school the next day. He introduced me to drum & bass, metal, hardcore, jazz, experimental, rave and everything else. He played noise too but I don't really recall it. I remember sessions by Autechre, Kemistry & Storm an...

Re: Tetsuo: The Iron Man (1989) Movie and OST

After a brief googling last night, I discovered the 2 sequels (of possible diminishing returns, as these things often go). Will probably sit and watch them at some point. Great movie, in fact I will probably watch it again soon.

New youtube link if anyone is interested

Re: Coffin Vomit

I listened to Acid Bath and its the sort of HNW that I approve of. There is noticeable variation throughout, I don't like a lot of the truly static walls so I should probably listen to the other track.on the release too.

This is a great thread, thanks for writing it all down and sharing your experiences.

Although I have no tape player or tapes, it makes me appreciate what goes into making these :)

Re: Super Fluffy Pancakes

We make banana pancakes for breakfast at least once a week. Just put an equal number of eggs and bananas in a bowl and rough mash with a fork. Fry into some coconut oil, flip once browned. I tend to cook 4 at a time in a 12" pan, they end up around 4" diameter each as the mix is quite stodgy. I some...

A good book, in the canon of popular science titles. Together with Universality and Chaos, well worth a read.

I hear Yanny. An interesting answer to this problem, and I am glad I can still hear high frequencies 😂

Re: Noise Guide zine

Still thinking about this, and toying with various ideas. Fake adverts. Or find people who want to participate / want promotion, on the basis that the advert is designed by "us" so that the aesthetic fits the rest of the zine. A page of "NoiseGuide" promotion to encourage potential new forum members...

Re: Looking for a label

Guerilla Noise Promotion; a concept worth exploring.

Idea:
Car boot sale a load of my old pop / chart / club CDs from my dj days, swap discs over with my own noise projects.

I like the idea of leaving CDs in random places with just a contact email or url on.
