Was looking for a sturdy contact Mic, almost got a Crank Sturgeon last night from Etsy but with carriage (and possible US import tax) it gets pricey. Don't want cheap Chinese 5 minute crap though.

^ A car spring might be too stiff on its own. Might work better if welded down to a plate at the bottom, then have a big lump of something welded to the top to give it a bit of extra mass.... *edit* Although from experience, car springs are not always easily weldable (if at all) so you might have to...

Its quite fast (as in the oscillations are fast) and clean compared to the stuff I have been listening to and making. Not necessarily a bad thing, just not what I am currently into.

But as.already said, if you are pleased with the outcome then you are the best critique and more power to you!
