I'd like to try making a curry-based gravy to put on egg foo young [...] Seems like it might be good with rice.

Re: Historical recollection of noise listening

Everything I know I learned from my older sister. :!: I had no idea you even had a sister. If you're fine with sharing, could you please elaborate? Oh, yeah. I have two sisters. One is a year older, the other four years. My eldest sister was/is a dysfunctional weirdo bitch, and she liked all the us...

Re: Tetsuo: The Iron Man (1989) Movie and OST

Still need to see these films, eventually. Speaking of sampling, I mentioned a while back how I was on this dumb 80's-90's anime kick. I've been thinking that it might be fun to make a noise project based around samples culled from old anime VHS and LaserDisc releases. Thinking about it now, that is...

Egg Foo Young. Or fried with salsa on top. Or Make breakfast burritos. Fry one with a runny yolk and chop it up over fried rice. Mayonnaise makes everything, even boring eggs on toast, better. And it's made from eggs, too! I'd like to try making a curry-based gravy to put on egg foo young with onion...

Re: Recent developments

China's robot market is also catching onto needs from a growing population of elderly "empty nesters" who prefer to grow old at home rather than at a nursing home. AvatarMind will soon launch another robot that can talk to seniors, remind them to take their pills and call the hospital when they fal...

Re: Noise in normal music

I've wanted to start an old school grind band with harsh noise accompaniment for a few years... More noise just means more energy. It seems incongruous, given the rhythmic, structured quality of the sort of grind I am thinking about , "blurry" sections aside. A lot of old grindcore is melodically an...

Re: Facialmess rig

Stop-start/"cut-up" effects can be triggered with piezo-mic'd shaker boxes using noise gates set to "open" at a certain volume threshold. They could be using something like that. There's even an article about the technique: http://www.noisefx.com/article/dodfx30b_blast

Re: Current fleeting interests

I plan to see Urotsukidoji eventually, though I have a lot of other OVA's and other things to watch/re-watch first. I finally had the opportunity to watch Midori earlier in the week. I want to watch it again soon. It's everything I look for in spiritually degrading degenerate filth, yet it also serv...

Shelley Duvall . I learned yesterday that a friend of mine from high school who moved to Colorado died. Her last name was Duvall, which somehow got me thinking about the surname, and then about Shelley. I'm a bit sad to find out Shelley Duvall is completely insane now. It's also weird to know my ol...

I don't want to outstretch my welcome I don't see why not, as long as you're being constructive, and not spamming or flooding the place with lazy/inane questions. At any rate, for such a limited pool of contributors, I think too many limitations would be detrimental, at least regarding content. Som...
