Re: Is melodic Harsh Noise exist?

What you're describing is called a drum machine, yeah; Drum machines (or drummers, for that matter) produce (usually) atonal "noises" placed in a melodic structure (look up the definition of "melody", if necessary) to produce rhythms. Noises and tones are two different things, in the sense that one...

Re: Oh, Beatrice...

I still think about this from time to time. I keep thinking I need to start (or start over on) work on tracks for the rest of the girls, but part of me feels like, once I do, Betty White will die. I'm keeping her alive through procrastination.

Re: surrealist harsh noise

Most "well-known" surrealists/absurdists seemed like hypocrites to me. Like a lot of disillusioned-but-spoiled brats acting out. Not that I think it diminishes their work. It only makes them shit individuals. I still like them as arteestes. People with catastrophically-disorienting (that is relative...

Same here. Which, for me, means:

Read the fine print; It is sort of punny.

All is weird/well.

Re: comp (no-one cares no-one will submit) idea!!?

I will submit something, just give me some time. I haven't recorded anything new, outside of GranuLab tinkling on the PC in months, but I set up some gear last night, and might get something out of it.

Re: Tell me about your day...

At the risk of coming across as pretentious, it feels like death. Like someone died. I can feel the shredding begin to unravel me. At the risk of also coming across as self-indulgently melodramatic, I've known the sick feeling before, and I survived it. It doesn't seem possible all the same. Whining...

Re: GRANULAR SYNTHESIS COMP

Hey. I still want to contribute, and still got the moo-moos for a potential tape release if and when. I just don't want to re-crap some warmed-over turd if I do submit something. And inspirations exist, but the results of my experiments haven't been satisfactory.

Re: Current fleeting interests

Willi Ninja, his angelic countenance and aesthetic perfection. I keep listening to this song and getting very apocalyptic feelings, and seeing him in my mind's eye, rockin' his killer Dead or Alive-esque mullet: V09x2y9MHbA I was listening to it in my car on the drive home from work this morning, an...

Re: GRANULAR SYNTHESIS COMP

I started working on some new source tracks using granulab. I have a lot of old stuff, but I don't want to rely solely on it. New recordings are mostly drone-y stuff, though. Not necessarily anything I'd consider suitable on its own. Please keep extending the deadline indefinitely :3
